Experience
Throughout her medical training, Dr. Allen has worked at VA Medical Centers in Hampton, Virginia, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Charleston, South Carolina. She understands the overwhelming bureaucracy that veterans face when navigating the VAMC compensation and pension benefits system. She is intimately familiar with the level of detail and documentation that should be included in your nexus letter and submitted with your case file (also called C-file or claims file) to make for a very strong VA disability claim.
Dr. Allen's mission is to provide high quality, thorough nexus letters.
A nexus is a connection linking two or more things.
As it pertains to VAMC C&P claims, a nexus letter is a document that is written by a medical doctor that clearly describes how an in-service event caused the claimant’s current medical condition. A nexus letter can be added to your claims file as evidence and can improve your chances of being granted service connection or receiving an increase to an already service-connected condition.
Nexus Letter Process:
1) Veteran uploads medical records to out HIPAA-compliant portal.
2) Dr. Allen completes a medical records review.
3) Dr. Allen drafts the nexus letter.
4) The completed nexus letter is provided to the veteran.
A Nexus Letter is an Independent Medical Opinion.
